The Space Newcastle is an NDIS registered service provider that brings quality Disability Support Workers together with experienced IT Professionals into the one space, filled with the latest technologies, providing a unique place to LEARN, PLAY, EXPLORE and GROW with technology.
The Space Newcastle prides itself in our supported education programs that provide;
- Tutoring in technology related subjects
- Supported study in Certificate II and III in Information, Digital Media Technology
- How to safely access the web and social media
- How to make games, videos, animations, 2D & 3D graphics and more.
- How to create and maintain a YouTube channel, Twitch Feed or other media streams.
Our supported social group programs allow you to;
- Make new friends at our weekly social gaming groups
- Participate in regular tournaments and events featuring games like: Halo, FIFA, Rocket League, Call of Duty, and others
- Bring Your Own laptop or consoles or use our consoles and custom built gaming PC’s
- Attend large events and conventions from the Hunter to Sydney including Comic con, Supernova , Smash! and Good Things Festival.
Our interest based groups provide time to;
- Explore our evolving range of technology equipment including; Powerful PC’s, 3D Printer, Robotics, Green Screen and Recording Equipment, Consoles and more.
- Explore your creative side with image and photo editing, animation, graphic design, video making and editing, game design and more.
Our Lifestyle programs compliment our technology based programs by;
- Offering in-home 1:1 daily routine support
- Developing daily travel routines
- Supporting and maintaining healthy lifestyle goals
- Bringing fitness, health and gaming together
- Providing inclusive support to reach individualised goals in gym sessions
- Explore pathways to employment in the technology industry
- Use your newly acquired technology industry skills and access support to identify and apply for employment opportunities
